      Very true. I know you mentioned that on another video we did on Yucaipa. As I said on your other comment.. the limited amount of shopping and amenities are some of the reasons why I find some people love and others hate the city of Yucaipa.

    There’s a new development called Chapman Heights. That’s the camouflage development that went into offset the meth heads on the other side of the boulevard that were born and raised here. There’s a big difference. I would not raise my kids there.

    I’ve lived here 20 years to the commute to work there’s no jobs other than entry-level jobs. Everybody leaves town to shop with no shopping per se. There’s nothing for kids to do teenagers and now they’re going to close the one pool. We have the 7th St., Park because the city is broke, so if you’re raising kids, I would not raise my kids here. My kids are raised and we’re leaving.

Zillow's actions have significantly impacted the current housing crisis by manipulating the market for their own gain. They should be held accountable for their actions.

Now, its still pretty nice, but it's rundown: alot of Homelessness, stupid traffic, and still very expensive. But overall, yes, it's still a pretty good town but it's on its way to becoming Pomona very rapidly.

    I disagree with a couple of your points. I work alongside designers and architects. 1. New homes are DEFINITELY more expensive to build. More codes to comply to, wages are dramatically different than 30 years ago, and material costs are about 10X than 30 years ago. 2. New builds DO have lower quality materials in some cases, and higher in others. The young wood used for studs, joists, etc. is less dense and more sensitive. But shingles, for example, are better. Labor shortages created a market where every crack-head is hired as a construction worker, and while inspections are happening, they also don't have enough inspectors, and those also miss things. For example, houses getting foundation cracks after 2-3 years is not rare anymore, and it used to be. The inspector's can't really find that out from looking at the concrete. I always recommend my clients to get a house built no later than the early 90s, because that's where I see most of the issues, and more issues as the house is newer. An 80s house that has been completely renovated is much more robust than a 2020 house. Don't forget that even the bad build examples from the 70s, 80s, and 90s were either demolished, or already fixed. If you have a 6 years old house, YOU'LL be the one to pay for the problems that arise from bad practices. 3. "Upgrades" from the builder are scams. They charge more than hiring contractor that will demo what you want to upgrade and install the upgrade, even though the builder doesn't need to demo, and save on non-upgraded materials in the first place. My point is, builders these days are like flippers. They have no pride in the trade. They just want to slap everything together as fast as they can to make profit, and cut corners as often as possible.

    • @JoseSepulvedaSoCalRealtor
      @JoseSepulvedaSoCalRealtor Месяц назад

      I can't say I've heard from my clients having as many issues as yours with newer homes but I'm sure it happens. I do agree about the upgrades in quite a few cases to be an over charged convenience. Really appreciate your comment and the time you took to go deep into it.

    As a resident of perris for 8 years I’ve noticed a lot of negative things. Our city council is the worst. With over 100 warehouses and 30 more approved (including a 2 million square foot warehouse right next to Railway Elementary) I can say the mayor doesn’t care about the communities health. People here go to Walmart, Rite Aid, and In N Out FOR FUN! Do you know how many times I had my neighbor tell me “Lets go to Stater Bros?” This city does not prioritize bicycle and pedestrian safety, and all our police force effort goes towards ticketing kids on ATV’s The buildings are falling apart, potholes, overgrown weeds, broken glass, homeless, and trash everywhere. Honestly who wants to move to perris? No one is gonna move in to those new houses for 500 grand, there’s nothing to do here for people my age

On top of that governor newsom has ruined California with record crime rates, absurd laws, and having the highest taxes & gas prices in the country. Thousands of employees have been laid off thanks to his $20 wage increase, and I’m not too far away since I only get 1 day a week, 3 hours a day! That's an interesting take.. never hear the name referred to as rich and fancy but there are parts of Fontana that have some pretty fancy homes. I'm guessing you aren't much of a fan of Fontana?

    No.. no crash is coming. The high prices are here to stay on everything. You'll all see for years to home. As more business close down the prices will go higher.

    The crash will happen after the election, probably in the spring/summer of 2025. Lots of inventory locked up in short term rentals. Insurance and property taxes are rising. At some point many STRs will not be profitable and investors will dump these and migrate to stocks/bonds This flood of inventory will put downward pressure on the housing prices.

      I don't know if I would go so far as to say a crash but I agree with you, with the rising cost for insurance at some point it certainly could cause home prices to decline to some degree.
